I tested the files z88.fcd and aurorastartv2 SHautsch posted the other day and it was the file z88.fcd which allowed to get rid of the red screen. Its white now, problem solved
Thanks a lot for your efforts!
I am trying to use the program z88Aurora V3 on ubuntu 14.04 64 bits, but when i run the program i get a red background on the screen.
i was trying the different advices, changing commas by decimal point, using suse64 instead of ubuntu 64 but nothing is working.
I am probably doing something wrong but i can't get to know what it is.
please try to replace your z88.fcd file (which can be found under z88aurorav3/bin/ubuntu64/) with the file attached to this post. This worked for mabinty with Z88Aurora V2 and should work for V3 as well.
Please let us know if you got it working.

it should only be the correct text encoding and decimal separator. Maybe your text editor messes something up.
If you would like, you could provide us with information about your OS, language settings and the text editor you used to open the z88.fcd file. Maybe we can find the guilty party
you are using decimal comma in Spain, aren't you? Maybe that's causing trouble...
Looks like a bad combination of language / decimal separator settings and LANG settings. It's just curious that we did not change a thing in the file I uploaded, it's just the one from the z88aurorav3_en.tar.gz archive.
Well, for now the workaround with the uploaded z88.fcd solves the problem and we will have a deeper look into that for the next version of Z88Aurora.
