Error on Solver/Thermo

I am new to FEA program and have just installed the Z88Aurora on mac.

While I am trying to learn Thermo Analysis of Example B29. It keeps pop-up with a error of

Z88THERMO: Error: Z88THERMO!
Please look at z88th.log!

I even open the project from example folder and still the problem exist. Is there anyway to check what is the problem?

From the terminal which the program starts, it said,

Unable to load image-loading module: /opt/local/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-ico.so: dlopen(/opt/local/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-ico.so, 1): image not found
dyld: Library not loaded: libiomp5.dylib
Referenced from: /Users/simonma/z88aurorav2/bin/mac/z88thermo
Reason: image not found

Also, the z88th.log file cannot be found.

Can anyone let me know which direction I should look into?

Thanks.

Hello,

first of all which OS version do you use? Sometimes in lion and mountain lion there are some lacking libs.

My OSX is version 10.7.5.

I did a check and can found the libiomp5.dylib in the z88aurorav2/bin/mac folder.

Thanks.

Hi,

please make sure to start Z88aurora with the start script: go to cd z88aurorav2/bin/mac and type ./aurorastartv2 for starting.

Hi, Thanks.

My mistake for not reading the installation guide properly. All along I've been using ./z88aurorav2 instead of the starting script. Sorry about this.

I am having a similar problem under Ubuntu 12.04. I am also trying tutorial b29 and get the following error:

Dear mturcios,

have you checked your structure for wrong or missing constraints? It seems that you have underdefined your structure, so it cannot be solved. If you would like us to have a deeper look at your problem, please provide us with your input files or better project folder (zipped) here in the forum or via email at z88aurora [.at.] uni-bayreuth.de.

Kind regards,
SHautsch

Thanks SHautsch,

I have sent you the case via email, let me know if you received it okay.

Thanks for your attention to this.

Dear mturcios,

I have received your project folder and already tested it under Windows 7. All I did was to open your project folder and run the solver, which worked perfectly. Thus your input files must be correct. I will re-check your files under Ubuntu and try to find the problem.

Kind regards,
SHautsch

Edit: With Ubuntu 14.04 I came to the same problem as you did. Thermo solver works fine with your input files under Windows but crashes under Unix. We will investigate this error and try to find a solution for you.

Thank you very much! I was getting really frustrated by not being able to do any thermo simulations. Let me know if you need any more information to fix the bug.

Hello mturcios,

my colleague is currently working on that problem. Unfortunately we have a lot to do at the moment, so it will probably take a while.

Kind regards,
SHautsch
