gravity

None of the examples have any gravity (as defined in the first line of z88i2.txt).
If I want to add gravity, what value should I use?

Hello Patrick,

sorry, but Z88 Aurora V1 can't take account of gravity. But maybe the next version is able to calculate with gravity :D .

Hi Florian, Patrick,

isn't it possible to simulate gravity?
I'm really not sure, maybe a superposition on every node of "gravity" forces in "z-direction" :-) could work.

ok, you can calculate the inertia of one elements, multiply the it with g and pass it to the element nodes. But it seems to be quite elaborate.

Since I can't really wait for the next version, I guess I am going to have to take this approach

I am creating building structures that are shells, using element 24. So once I have my overall load (mass*9.81) for each element, I then need to spread it to the nodes. I have six nodes on each element, so can anyone give me a hint as to how to spread the load between these six nodes?
