Hello frans, let me sum up your problem. You are trying to simulate a steel beam of 1000x100x25 (mm^3) with two restraints at the ends of the beam and a line force pushing on the center of the beam. Hallo Herr Keller, wenn Sie erneut das Theoriehandbuch bemühen, so finden Sie auf S. 125 vor der Erklärung zu "SIGZZ1,SIGZZ2, etc." die Benennung von SIGXX und TAUXX. Wie bereits erkannt, handelt es sich bei SIGXX um die Normalspannung und bei TAUXX um die Schubspannung. Diese gelten nicht...

Hello peripero,

thank you for your question.

It is not possible and not necessary to set an initial temperature to the model.
For calculating the heat flow you just need two different temperatures in the structure which include the surrounding temperature.
