Re: z88/Aurora V4

Dears Mr Hautsch and Mr chgl Thank you very much for your answers. I must confess that when I sent my questions I had not yet checked the theoretical guides. This was probably due to my anxiety for applying the new contact module of Aurora V4. Receive my best regards and, again, my congratulations f...

z88/Aurora V4

Aurora Team Congratulations for the launch of F88 / Aurora V4. Certainly, the incorporation of the contact force analysis module is a great step forward and will be very useful in my FEA studies. I have already done the tutorials for the use of the contact module and I have the following questions: ...

Dear SHautsch Thank you very much for your answer. Perhaps this change of opinions has been of interest for someone else in the forum. By the way, I have other questions. I hope you have time to consider them. Te material more applied in the projects I work is the Titanium alloy TiA6V4. See please t...

Re: Differences in nonlinear analysis with von Mises and Hoo

dear Shautsch Thanks alot for your comments that explain so well the logic and limits of a NLA solver. In other terms, the "real life" of this FEA tool, that regrettably is not the "real life" of what happens out there in the industry, where every day thousands of #10MM (or more)...

Differences in nonlinear analysis with von Mises and Hooke

Friends of Aurora Team After accomplished the B35 "Ball Coupling" tutorial, I tried another more simple test: a mere beam whose dimensions, material and BCs can be seen in the attached image. The results I've obtained not appear to be correct. Here they are: No linear analysis, 50 loading ...

Axel, At the attached image you'll see the BLCs applied in the FEA that I did. The wall thickness is 1.4 mm. The material is "Structural steel" from Aurora's database. The nominal size of the mesh triangle is 4 mm. Concerning the seat zone regarding your own frame, I believe that the diffe...

Re: Berechnung großer Strukturen

AURORA people I apologize for intruding on this issue. The exchange of opinions seems to have reached the conclusion that it is impractical to handle the case of the bicycle frame through meshes. In my opinion this is not fair to AURORA's capabilities. Being the bike frame, a tubes structure, this c...

Re: E4 Structure

Dear Mr. Wehmann Thanks a lot for your tips. Concerning the formula for establish the calculability of a rod structure, I've the doubt if positional constraints in all directions must be considered as 1 or 3 by application node. Just to try, I added triangulating elements to the initial tower of thi...

Hello Mz15 Thank you very much for your answer. Certainly, the same structure with Elements type 2 (DOF6) was calculated straight and fast by all the solvers, without any need of residuum adjustment. Notwithstanding that for this type of element there's no stress graphical output, to observe the def...

"POWER-USER"! Tim, not simply "super user"! When dealing with nobility titles, as in FEA, the lack of precision is unacceptable ;-). By the way, thank you very much for your concepts. Concerning our subject, I didn't find the way to get other displacement output different from 5....

Re: best practice for modeling plate.

Hello fellow AURORA users, this is my contribution to the general confusion ;-) In your conversation I find a good opportunity for check the E24 plates obtained from IGES or STEP files. As you can see at the images I apply a rather coarse mesh (triangle sides = 35 mm). The part is constrained at bot...
