Since the STEP converter is open source and does not come from our team, I can not fully answer the question.
However, the converter can handle properly only with the STEP protocol AP203. If your file in STEP AP214 format that can possibly lead to errors.

It is possible that even then the STL file generated from the STEP file is corrupt. Unfortunately we have no influence to. But if it works with the STL file, it is at least one partial success.
