Hi, Tim
I've already given an initial glance to FEBIO's website, and it seems to be very interesting. Thank you very much for the data.

"Compute" options
Good day, AURORA Team
Which is the more adequate "Compute" option for Tetrahedron 16 meshes? I mean eg: 4 Gauss Points, 4x4(x4) Gauss Points, etc. Or, if there isn't an precise recipe, wich is the criteria for selecting?
Thanks a lot.

Re: constraints application
Prof. Rieg Let me add to those of Tim, my own thanks for your concern and the information you bring us. I hope you can satisfactorily accomplish your schedules for the benefit of all us, AURORA users. Dear Tim. When considering your worry for improve skills in FEA management (that's also mine), I th...

Re: constraints application
Estimated Tim
Sorry, I don't know the book you mentioned, nor any other that I can recommend. If you get it, I would be very interested in know your opinion about it.

Re: constraints application
Good day Mr. Zimmermann Being the case "A" the right and orthodox resolution, it would be of professional rigor to asking ourselves why the stress output of the case "B", the wrong solution, is exactly the same, and being achieved after the same number of iterations. It's to regr...

Tim: I also appreciate very much the Aurora Team effort, mostly for putting in our hands a so professional FEA software. Neither is my intention to be teached here about BC application. But... what's a forum if not a place for share experiences, for make questions, receive answers, or even for make ...

Re: constraints application
Mr. Zimmermann, I don't understand why you say that both models aren't statically determined, while the A case is constrained in all direction in the two triangular faces, as it's explained in the description of the cases. Anyway, you can be sure that I know well that for structural calculation the ...

Prismas05.jpeg Estimated Mr. Christoph Wehmann Thank you very much for your answer, helpful as usual. But, in this case, I beg you to let me continue the discussion. See please the attached images. Naturally all them show the same model, of the same material, mesh, etc. The case A is constrained in...

Re: constraints application
After posting the previous comments I did another essay with no constraints at all. Just pressure at the planar faces of the barrel. The FEA results (through SORCG) also seemed to be consistent. Then I tried to apply the non constraints concept to other piece, considering that the applied system of ...

constraints application
xyconstraints2.jpeg Some weeks ago we discussed about the application of constraints. As it was explained (or at less as I understood it), all directions must be constrained to avoid the structure to be statically undetermined. No necessarily applying the three directions constraints to the same no...

Just one but without pretending that is the only one answer to import problems: be sure that the file to be imported is in the z88aurorav1 directory . Regards.

Re: more about meshes
Martin, thank you very much for your interest. As you probably already guessed, the solution I found is an "end user" one, not too much analytical indeed. Actually it is a process for "preparing" the initial STL model in order to obtain, after, a clean T16 mesh in AURORA's TETGEN...

more about meshes
buje17-04.jpeg Since I started to try Aurora FEA, I'm dealing with "the mesh issue". On one hand, it's well known that T16 meshes produce better FEA results than the T17 ones (the Theory Guide points this emphatically). On the other hand, TETGEN T16 meshes seem to be irregulars and not al...
