Multiple Load Cases
I have a need to run multiple load cases on a model. Is there a way to create multiple constraint sets so that they can all be run at one time? If not, do you have any recommendations for comparing the results of multiple load cases? At the moment, the only way I see, is to make copies of the entire...

Representing Pinned Beam Elements
I'm building a small model representing the front suspension of a car. Thanks to Z88's non-linear abilities, I can run this kind of analysis using a very soft E for the spring's material properties and expect large displacements. http://i652.photobucket.com/albums/uu249/Inquisitor720/SuspensionLabel...

Multiple Materials (Creating element sets)
I'm building a truss(4) model and need to use multiple materials and sections. In the section administrator, I can select a range of element numbers, so I can use multiple sections. However, in the material administrator it does not let me select a range of elements. Instead it requests to select a ...

Re: how to define the weight of the material
Hello Z88 crew, Is it possible to define the weight of the material/steel to determine the bending of an unsuported beam by it's own weight. Thanks in advance. kind regards Frans Frans, I had the same need for a tubular frame automotive chassis I'm working on. Calculating loads, by hand, for each n...

Structure Accelerations (Gravity)
In my current project, the structure’s weight is significant to the loading. I couldn’t see hand calculating it as a solution. So I’ve written a little utility ( Z88Assistant ) that reads the Z88 files for nodal, element, section and material properties and then generates nodal forces to simulate th...

Orthotropic / Anisotropic Material Properties
I see that you are working on non-linear material properties. Can you tell me if linear orthotropic or fully anisotropic linear material properties using at least the 6x6 stiffness matrix are coming to your shells, plates and/or solids? I would like to be able to design thin walled structures using ...

Accelerations (gravity)
I see in V1, that a topic points out that gravity is not handled and that "maybe" it will be in the next version. Did accelerations get added to V2? If so, I can't seem to find the UI that allows me to manipulate it. I see the materials database has the mass, so I'm hopeful. If not, can yo...

Cannot read structure data!
I ran into this error while in the learning process and finally discovered what I was doing. I am making simple beam structures to evaluate usage of Z88. While creating nodes in the pre-processor, I had a need to leave and closed the program. When trying to reopen the project, I get the above error....

Re: Comments on AURORA V2
I would like to thank the Z88 team for producing such a wonderful piece of software. As advertised, I have been able to download, install, watch through a few video tutorials and successfully create, analyze and evaluate a simple test case of my own. It is very intuitive. It is a far cry from the FE...
